Jesus' death on the cross was a free act. It was a loving act born out of compassion and tenderness for dying generations. Even though the sentence was handed down publicly long ago, it's effects are meant for this generation today and those yet to come.
Today God can be found anywhere as religion and ideology,superstitions and philosophy are becoming intertwined. With the ever increasing re-edited bibles and concordances seeking out the truth is even harder now because only a form of God is given just enough to stroke the human ego.
People are opting out of Christianity and opting into a reformed self indulgent form of thinking in hopes to find the all encompassing feel good path of enlightenment. Sometimes combining the parts of Christianity that they can conform to thier way of thinking. It is far easier to cope in a degenerate society than to have the degenerate cope on his own.
In the summer of 2008, I recieved a vision of a huge hand of God squeezing sand as it sifted through His thick fingers. Most of the sand that fell through down his closed fist landed in a neat pile under neath his upheld hand, but the sand that was squeezed through the cracks of his fingers was thrown with such force that it landed far away from the main pile and infact scattered about into little particles seperated by a great distance. Instantly I was given the phrase,
"God is sifting His children"
and my reply was "Surely God you don't mean us?"
It was an innocent statement, and my family and I too have felt this sifting. It seems like it will never let up. It is a constant struggle with one hurdle merging into the next.( At times the grip is so great that I feel like giving up. I felt like calling out to God in prayer, with my picket sign in hand, but I am called to focus on scripture instead and that is what builds my faith to see me through.)
The pile underneath His hand represented the children who remain firm under His trials and testing, and those that were flown a great distance are those who that perhaps have a form of godliness.
I also recieved the distinct impression that although the pile was significant in number, the number that was scattered was far greater.
It is no coincidence in our generation that this sifting has taken place now. We have become so dependant on the world economy and rely on our family and things to make us happy that we have turned away from our first love. We need to remember that our Savior is the author and finisher of our faith and that every knee will eventually bow down to Him.
Society screams at us from her perch for unification and equality and it is difficult to hear the still small voice of God thundering from underneath. The echos of the nations lying tongue has tried to bang down the doors of the innocent for far too long and God has called those in question accountable.
His soothing grace calls out from an ancient past, and His Holy Spirit calls you, dear reader to not loose heart but remain steadfast in hope, faith and love.
