A Fish out of Water

Persistent Grace :      A closer look

Loss is a part of life, and for Mary loosing her son, Jesus Christ, the son of God, was just as tragic and heartfelt as the losses we endure today. She was a woman that we can all look to and gain strength from when we are faced with the death of a child, or a loved one. It is something that all of us have no choice but to experience, and through the pain and anguish of Jesus's death, we can learn to overcome and live in freedom from the pain and void that such an unavoidable misfortune leaves for us to shadow.

Persistent Grace takes the reader back into an era of perspective that most of us never even consider.

The hard hitting issue of death is addressed in this book showing the reader possible scenerios that go far deeper than walking in someone else's shoes.

" I couldn't put it down. Right from the first page, this book causes you to think about the cross. It is something we so easily forget once we put down the pages to our bible. Reading the story behind the story made me cry because never has Mary been portrayed in such a way before."
                                              - Val

Mary's story shares a commonality with every reader because it is deep within our human nature to nurture and be nurtured. It is our worst nightmare when the one we love is taken so arbatrarily through a tragedy such as death.

The pages of Persistent grace take the reader on a journey of descovery through the message of the Cross, in hopes to rid the tragic nature of death.

"It is a fact that we cannot avoid such an indignity, but the final say isn't through the loss, it is through looking to Christ and what He did on the cross.
We fear what we do not know, and most of us fear death and dying. When we understand the cross in its entire message, we are left with a greater hope because Jesus conquered death and through our death and those of whom we love, He is glorified!"

Shannon Gilmour writes from a place that gives inspiration and understanding to the biblical characters and history among the pages of the Bible.

"My writing does not just come from my heart but from God's as well. I give credit to Him because I could never give these stories the descriptions and explanations they deserve."

Persistent Grace although a short read of 55 pages, carries a loving message that has an intended audience for teens and their families that can share and learn the message of healing together. It is a book that will bring the reader to a renewed understanding of the cross, and a better perspective on the reasonings behind such tragedies that we have no choice but to bear.
